Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, zoom or reduced motion.
1. Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA on this website.
2. What we've built in
- Keyboard: links, buttons, menus and forms work with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Screen readers: headings in order, labelled form fields, and text alternatives for images and animated scenes.
- Contrast: text is built to meet AA contrast on its background.
- Reduced motion: if your device asks for less motion, animations stop and you see the still, finished version of each scene.
- Video: videos on this site are silent, play muted, pause when off screen and can be paused. Your Missing Layer video comes with captions.
- Dee, our mascot: Dee never covers text, forms or buttons, can be hidden with one tap, and stays away for the rest of your visit.
- Forms: clear labels, plain error messages and no time limits.
- Any screen: the site works on phones and desktops, and with zoom up to 200 %.
3. Known limits
- Moving previews of client work: our case studies show client websites in motion. Each one also has a written description of what we built.
- Illustrative scenes: some sections show animated mock-ups of fictional businesses. Each has a short text summary.
- Other websites: client sites and preview copies we link to are not ours to control and may not meet the same standard.
4. Tell us about a barrier
If something on this site doesn't work for you, tell us through our contact form, with the page and what happened. If you need any of our content in another format, such as a text version of a video, ask and we'll provide it.
5. How we check
We test the site with automated checks, keyboard-only use, screen-reader spot checks and real phone sizes before each major release.
6. Reviews of this statement
We review this statement when the site changes, and at least once a year.
